Flower Planters to Beautify Downtown Pittsburgh in 2022

Since 2008, Colcom Foundation has partnered with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy to keep downtown Pittsburgh blooming all year long. The project was started to commemorate the City of Pittsburgh’s 250th birthday.

“This project is an important component of the greening initiatives that make downtown Pittsburgh a beautiful and inviting place to be,” says John Barsotti, President of Colcom Foundation.

400 street planters adorn main pedestrian areas to brighten the streets for residents and visitors. The seasonal displays include daffodils, pansies, chrysanthemums, evergreen shrubs, and many other varieties.
